I was so happy to see a friend request from facebook a while ago. She’s a friend and college classmate. We’ve been very close during first year in college but then we separated ways due to different courses. When I saw her friend request I immediately accepted it. I sent her a message and hoping to really hear what’s going about her life soon.
But sometimes fbying gives me a bad feeling. Coz there are just people who post insensitive, impolite, immature, cheap, irrational, dishonest and inconsiderate things on their wall. Makes me feel annoyed and disturbed like when you weren’t able to file taxes on time. One of the reasons why I don’t linger on fb too much anymore because of these annoying people.
Sometimes it makes me cry when I think about this person. Can’t do anything but just to pray for her. haist!
Are you surprised to know that the first nurses in history are actually men? I am! The first nursing school in 250 BC are for men only. Because only men are believed to be pure enough to execute the service.
Growing up, I have seen more female nurses in the hospital than men. That’s why it’s more ordinary for me to see a female nurse getting my vital stats. But today, men nurses are again becoming more visible in nursing uniforms. And they are actually good to see in men lab coats.
In a discriminative world, men are expected to have a more dominative job in hospitals as doctors, lab professionals and the likes. But in the real world, men nurses can really do significant jobs in the hospital. What do you say about assisting a sick person who’s already immobile? I was groggy already but I remembered it has always been (in my two C-section operations) a male nurse who assisted my anesthesiologist by assuring that I don’t move when she injects the epidural in my spine. Thanks to you, I’m not paraplegic today! See, the job of a nurse isn’t easy. And men nurses are suit to do them too.
